A zebra-and-horse crossbreed named Eclyse is pictured at the Safari park in Schloss Holte-Stukenbrock, western Germany. The one-year-old mix, called a zorse or sometimes a zebroid, was the accidental product of a holiday romance when her zebra mother, Eclipse, was taken from her German safari park home to a ranch in Italy for a brief spell. There, she met Ulysses, a horse, and the two hit it off. Eclipse returned home to find herself pregnant and giving birth to the little zorse, whose markings are unusual, even for her kind. Her name is a hybrid of her parents' own names. A spokesman for the park said Eclyse is relatively tame like a horse, but occasionally gets a little wilder when her zebra side comes out.
